The Kendall Madison Foundation was formed in 2000 to provide more than just an annual scholarship. The Foundation provides financial contributions to help the East End community such as The Kendall Madison Fitness Center as well as financial assistance to those in need for the purposes of enhancing their student-athlete experience. Over $200,000 has been awarded to student-athletes and other supporting organizations since its inception.
The Kendall Madison Scholarship Fund was established in 1995 in memory of Kendall Madison, a model student-athlete who was tragically lost at the age of 21. Kendall was beloved by the East End and UCONN community and a $10,000 scholarship was created and endowed in his honor to reward a male and female student athlete who exemplifies Kendall's core characteristics of being a role model for the community, not only in sports but community service and academics as well.
The Kendall Madison Award, is given to a strong player whose dedication, hard work and outstanding citizenship best exemplify the strong spirit of the UConn Huskies.
